Diagnosis

Your diagnosis...the starting point

Our thorough diagnostic assessments are used if you require an educational (non-medical) diagnosis of a specific learning difficulty such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, central auditory processing disorder or in some cases a non-medical diagnosis of ADHD. (Please note, if you are planning to attend University in the next two years, please see
DSA Assessments.)

Our assessment, complimented by information you may provide about your background history, education and employment (where relevant) is used to compile a learning profile of strengths and weaknesses and a diagnosis of a Specific Learning Difficulty, if present.

What happens in the assessment?
We start with a warm-up activity or conversation around your hobbies and favourite things. For younger children, this may involve playing a short game or drawing a picture together. The assessment involves completing a series of short activities surrounding pictures, words and sounds.
